Medication adherence is taking your medication exactly as your healthcare provider prescribes. This involves getting your prescription filled, remembering to take it on time and administering your medication as directed.

    Remembering to take your medication can be tough, but there are a few different ways to remind yourself to take your medication each day:

    • Start a Routine: Purchase a medicine organizer to prep your medication for the entire week. You can also try storing your medication near something you touch every day, like your toothbrush or coffee maker, to incorporate it into your daily routine.
    • Use Your Tech: Set an alarm on your phone to remind yourself to take your medication at a specific time each day.

    Child safety caps on prescription bottles are designed to keep kids out of the medication, but sometimes they’re too difficult for the person actually taking the medicine to open. Our Pharmacies carry non-safety caps for medicine bottles. Just ask your pharmacist next time you’re in the store.

    If potential side effects are preventing you from taking your prescribed medication, talk to your pharmacist. As medication experts, our pharmacists can listen to your medical concerns and give you advice on how to overcome possible side effects. Our team can also work with your prescriber to recommend other medication options that may be more appropriate.
