Jolly Edamame
When it comes to having a satisfying snack on hand with big-time appetite appeal, look no further than edamame. Even more satisfying? A frozen bag that’s always fresh when you need it. Just microwave and add a seasoning or two for an app that’s merry and bright.
A Splash of Soy
Stir a tablespoon of soy sauce and a teaspoon or two of lime juice into a bowl of cooked edamame. Add a bit of spice with sriracha or a hint of sweet with honey — or do both for a spicy-sweet tang.
A Pinch of Garlic
Whisk together a few tablespoons of sesame oil and a teaspoon or two of minced garlic. Heat mixture in a skillet until garlic is fragrant (not burned). Then sauté edamame in sauce until covered and browned. Finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
A Kick of Heat
Add a drizzle of olive oil and a teaspoon of dried chili flakes or chili oil to cooked edamame. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
