Indian Masala Tea
| 2 | cups | water |
| 3-4 | whole cloves | |
| 1 | cinnamon stick | |
| 3-4 | cardamom pods (cracked open) | |
| 1/4 | cup | loose black tea (or 4 tea bags) |
| 2 | cups | milk |
| 3-4 | tablespoons | sugar |
Combine water, cloves, cinnamon stick and cardamom and bring to a boil; simmer 5 minutes. Add black tea and steep for 5 minutes. Add milk and heat, but do not boil. When hot, strain and add sugar. Stir and serve immediately.
