Chop Suey

Where are the chop sticks when you need them?

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs. top sirloin steak
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
salt
pepper
1 1/2 cups water
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup molasses
cornstarch

Directions:

Cut up steak into bite-size cubes. Brown steak in skillet with celery and onions. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add water, soy sauce, sugar and molasses and bring to a boil. In a separate container, combine cornstarch with a little water. Blend until smooth. Add a little at a time to steak mixture to thicken. Serve over hot rice.
